Refund Policy

TL;DR

  • Placement not live within the promised turnaround? Full refund or free re-placement on a comparable outlet. Your call.
  • Publisher removes the article within 90 days? Free re-placement on a comparable outlet, or 100% refund.
  • You changed your mind after we started writing or pitching? Partial refund (see below).
  • We won't accept gambling, adult, illegal drugs, weapons, hate speech, financial scams, or anything we flag as brand-unsafe. If we reject your order on those grounds before work starts, you get 100% back.

1. What you're buying

When you place an order through Essentras you're buying a placement on a specific publisher under specific terms (turnaround time, format, link policy, word count). What constitutes "delivered" is set per product in your order receipt.

For most products, delivery means: article is live at the agreed URL, with the agreed link(s), in line with the publisher's editorial standards.

2. When you get a full refund

You're entitled to 100% of what you paid, no questions, in any of these cases:

  1. Turnaround missed. We don't deliver within the TAT (turnaround time) shown on your order, plus a 3-business-day grace period. Triggered automatically; we don't make you ask.
  2. Publisher pulls out before placement. The outlet rejects your draft for reasons outside our editorial guidelines, and we can't find a comparable replacement within 7 business days.
  3. Article removed by publisher in the first 90 days for reasons unrelated to a TOS violation by you (e.g. publisher changes policy, site shuts down, editorial reversal). You can also choose a free re-placement on a comparable outlet.
  4. We reject your order on content grounds before work starts. See section 7.

3. Replacement instead of refund (recommended)

Most buyers prefer this: instead of a refund, we'll place your campaign on a comparable outlet (same tier, similar DA/DR, same vertical) at no extra cost. We'll send 3 options for you to pick from.

Replacement is offered alongside the refund options above, never instead of.

4. Partial refund

You get 70% back if:

  • You cancel after we've assigned a writer or started outreach to the publisher, but before the draft is delivered.

You get 40% back if:

  • You cancel after the draft is delivered but before the article is live.

You get 0% once the article is live at the agreed URL, except in the cases listed in section 2.

5. What's NOT refundable

  • Article performance. We deliver placement, not traffic, clicks, conversions, ranking improvements, or specific SEO outcomes. Those depend on factors outside our control.
  • Indexing changes. If Google removes or de-indexes a placed article after delivery, that's a Google decision. We disclose indexing status (YES / MAYBE / NO) at purchase.
  • Link follow status changes if the publisher changes from dofollow to nofollow after placement.
  • Sensitive-niche surcharges already applied to delivered work.
  • Add-on services (translation, custom artwork, expedited turnaround) once the work is completed.
  • Time-based bundles (e.g. monthly retainers) for months that have already elapsed.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@essentras.com with:

  • Your order ID
  • The reason (TAT missed / publisher pulled / article removed / cancellation)
  • Any supporting screenshots or URLs

We respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5 business days to the original payment method.

Stripe refunds typically settle in 5-10 days. Crypto refunds via Cryptomus settle in 1-3 days, paid back to the wallet that funded the order.

7. Content we won't place

We won't accept and will refund 100% on orders involving:

  • Gambling, betting, online casinos
  • Adult content, escorts, dating sites with adult focus
  • Recreational drugs (including CBD where the destination publisher prohibits it)
  • Weapons, ammunition, tactical gear
  • Cryptocurrency rug-pulls, ICO scams, "guaranteed returns" schemes
  • Multi-level marketing recruitment
  • Hate speech, harassment, content targeting protected groups
  • Anything that violates the destination publisher's editorial policy

For finance, health, crypto, and pharma orders we apply a sensitive-niche surcharge (shown at checkout). These are placed, just at a higher cost reflecting outlet risk.

8. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback before contacting support@essentras.com forfeits your replacement option and may result in account suspension. We'd much rather just refund you than fight a chargeback. Talk to us first.

9. Disputes

Cyprus law governs this policy. Any dispute that can't be resolved through support goes to the District Court of Famagusta, Cyprus (sitting in Paralimni). EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence under EU consumer law.
